The documentary is focused on Ai's one-man show at Kunsthalle Bern which opened on 1st April, 2004. Installation of each piece goes parallel with interviews about the works with the curator, collector, gallerist or the artist himself. Bernhard Fibicher, the then-director of Kunsthalle Bern and curator of this show, appears as a guide from the very beginning. He talks about the history of Kunsthalle, the trace of which is still in the building. Ai has a clear awareness of the genius loci and tries to reverberate this across the site. Ai's house, commented by Jacques Herzog as Ai's best architectural piece, shows up in the session on his architectural practice. Ai's collaboration with Herzog & de Meuron is presented in the film, along with the National Stadium, their joint project, as an absent exhibit of the show. The documentary ends with Ai's 153 hour long video, Beijing: 8th October 2003-7th November 2003, which was shown in the medieval clock tower of Bern during his solo exhibition. Ai's monologues on various intellectual themes were inserted evenly in the edit line, whilst Karin Minger, a Bernese dancer's performing on Ai's art piece brings some oneiric moments. 60 minutes.
