【软件应用】西扎论阿尔托--有没有人愿意讨论设计的起点问题

实践中,初次发声,斗胆翻译了最想知道的一小节 大量的要求和与之相关的问题阻碍了基本建筑概念的清晰表达”阿尔托 在1947年写道:“这样的情况下我常常采取一种完全本能的方式继续下去。
在任务的各项特征和它数不完的要求被吸收进入我的潜意识之后,我试着用 一段时间忘掉所有的问题, 然后以一种非常接近抽象艺术的风格开始勾画, 一个人随着直觉的牵引勾画,不顾建筑上的综合性,有时会以速写草图形式 结束,那些草图看起来就像小孩子的练习。

"A great number of demands and marginal problems stand in the way of the clear exposition of the basic architectural idea," Aalto wrote in 1947."In such cases I often proceed in an entirely instinctive way. After absorbing into my subconscious the characteristics of the work and its infinite requirements, I try for a while to forget all the problems, and begin to draw in a manner that is very close to abstract art.I draw,guided solely by instinct, skipping architectural syntheses,sometimes ending up with sketches that look like children's compositions.In that way the main idea, based on abstract foundations,gradually takes shape,a sort of universal substance which enables the various problems and contradictions to harmonize with one another."Reading these lines,it is really surprising to hear people say,"Aalto,architect,Finn,didn't theorise,he didn't talk about method."He did,brilliantly.And I know of no more accurate and penetrating analysis of the mental process of designing than what is summarized in this fragment and in Aalto's other writings and discourses, which are no less illuminating for being brief.What this discourse illuminates is not the way in which Aalto designed,but rather the way in which design should be accomplished in our own time - a way that has been hidden for various reasons,as happens to "the naked truth,which needs no words, hidden beneath the mantle of the imagination."Architects are modest if anyone is.In one way or another they wrap mantles around their own work. These mantles,very intricate and occasionally elegant, with a complex hang, stand up perfectly well when suitably starched and can be confused with the body of a theory,or of a method of action,in spite of the fact that the head cannot be seen,either disappearing into the darkness or into the glare of a brilliant light, And so thousands of architecture students run their fingers down the furrows and discover that all the runs lead to the ground or to the ether. Studying Aalto may help us not to consider him as the ultimate great genius with whom communication is difficult but, on the contrary,to appreciate his capacity for generous communication.His influence must find expression above all in the reform of our schools of architecture,helping to open them up to the problems of the present day.It is in reacting to these problems that we may be able to find a way forward without placing our trust in post-war modernism,which is something that we in Portugal have not had.。

关于设计起点的思考

这段阿尔托的论述很值得玩味。作为从业十多年的建筑设计师,我特别认同他提到的"吸收问题进潜意识后暂时抽离"的方法。1947年阿尔托提出这个观点时,现代主义正面临功能主义过度僵化的困境,他的"抽象基础"本质是用艺术思维突破技术束缚。就像我们在做方案初期,面对甲方五花八门的要求(规范限高、面积指标、造价控制等),如果一开始就陷在细节里,很容易做出平庸的"技术拼盘"。

现代设计中的实践验证

■ 直觉草图的价值没过时,但应用场景变了
● 以前用铅笔在牛皮纸上涂鸦,现在可能用iPad手绘软件(比如Procreate)快速生成几十个概念草图
● 我们院去年做的社区中心项目,前期让团队关掉CAD/BIM软件,用色块拼贴做抽象意象板,反而找到了"山形屋顶+光影庭院"的核心概念
● 关键要区分:抽象阶段(解决"为什么这样设计")和深化阶段(解决"怎么实现"),很多年轻同事容易在SketchUp里过早纠结墙体厚度

■ 阿尔托没说但隐含的重要前提
● 他的"本能方式"建立在赫尔辛基理工大学的扎实训练上,就像学书法要先临帖千遍才能写行草
● 现代设计更需警惕:有些新人把"跟着感觉走"当借口,连《民用建筑设计统一标准》GB 50352-2019的日照间距要求都不清楚就画草图
● 个人经验:抽象草图阶段最好准备个"底线清单"(比如防火分区、无障碍这些强制性条文),避免后期大改

软件时代的特殊挑战

现在用BIM做设计起点反而容易陷入误区。有次带实习生,他直接在Revit里拉墙体,结果方案调整时整个模型崩了。西扎在《与阿尔托的对话》里提过类似观点:软件应该是思维的延伸,不是思维的牢笼。建议试试这个工作流:


  • 用A3纸手绘3种抽象构图(限时15分钟/张,不许标注尺寸)
  • 拍照导入Miro白板,团队投票选出最有潜力的1-2个
  • 再打开Rhino/Revit做参数化推敲



去年我们用这方法做养老院设计,抽象阶段确定的"环形动线+采光中庭"概念,最终通过BIM模型验证了日照和疏散距离——这才是技术与艺术的真正结合。
